Jomo

Jimmy Jones
Yessir!
I want you to know one thing
Jimmy Jones! (Statik Selektah)
What you have to say about it? Ooooh...

You gotta remind 'em who you are
Remind 'em who you are
Remind 'em you a star
Remind 'em...

When niggas, play with your name then you remind 'em who you are (Capo)
I'm just trying to tell my truth but niggas is lying, oh my god (really though)
I done put so much work in, I could have died on the job (you hear me?)
I really been in kitchens with chickens when they was frying up the hard, cat!
(But I'm lying though right?)
I've been in power house where they scream Loddi (Eastside!)
I done walked out my building and I seen bodies (DOA)
I been in court, the D.A's looking like he seen Gotti (Ugh!)
And all my niggas do they time, you know my team body (Back to back!)
It's been seven years since I seen Shotti (Hard!)
It's been seven years since I saw Melly (Gotto!)
And now we gotta fly straight 'cause he got 4 fellies' (Really though!)
Nigga I been going to the Tunnel since you saw Belly (Ask about me)
I done been through the most (Uh huh)
Niggas talking about we fake bloods, I had to spin for the coast (Wacko!)
Shit, that was twenty years ago, I was just slim with the toast
Niggas talking about they outside but they put everything on the post, no (Caption that!)
No, shit, we not jacking that (Ah, ah)
Not a place that we go that we not packing that (Facts)
You know I flipped this whole shit like a acrobat (Stupid!)
And everything that you owe, I'm coming back for that (I need mine)
So what more you want to ask him? (Ask me)
You niggas taught me how to rap and I went platinum (Stupid!)
They didn't think that I would start to rap and I would lap them (Aah!)
Everybody know that for Diplomats I was the captain (Capo!)

You gotta remind 'em who you are
Remind 'em who you are
Remind em' you a star
Ha, Remind 'em
Jomo!

Shit, is he a Bronx is he a Harlem nigga?
Fuck all that, tell me what's the problem nigga? (12th street!)
I'm too thorough, I move thorough, my crew thorough (Eastside!)
Let me answer your questions, I'm a legend up in two boroughs (Silly!)
Like Kevin Chiles, I've been ducking the Federales (Facts)
That's on my mama, I want drama, these niggas was never wild (I know you)
[?] would bring the work down for me (Six Seven)
But keep playing my young boys will burn the Earth down for me!
Got them playing in the field, it's like a first down homie
You niggas is acting like bitches, well pull your skirt down homie (Pause!)
Well [?], they try to knock me off my [?]
I been a shooter, it's over you stupid, with coppers on the scene (Geeda!)
I went trial, I beat that, I came back as capo of the team

Uh, mob shit
It's still a billy world silly girl
You know I'm on max so I gotta stay trendy, keep some apes with me nigga...
Got my hat on, nigga
Fuck is wrong with you niggas?
All my Loc's worldwide you know how we giving it up
It's love on this side, you heard?
Harlem, how we bangin'?
Woo!
Bronx made me, Harlem raised me
You heard? I'm a hybrid, you know how I live
Top notch baby
Eastside 'till we die, shit don't change on this side

Alright, oh yeah!
'Cause God has been good to me, oh yes you have!
And I want every body under the sound of my voice... Put your hand on your radio... oh yessir... turn your dial... please Jesus, if you could turn your dial, oh yessir... and I know God is good... Jimmy Jones!
